All you have to do is turn on the radio or take a step into Topshop to feel like you have been transported back to the 90’s. Despite the hideous sportswear, the obscence amount of curtain hair styles and blonde highlights, there is something very kitsch and strangely appealing about a lot of the 90’s trends. Weddings are no different, 2016 is full of 90’s influences, not in the way that’s going to make you run for the balloon sleeves or poofy bridesmaid dresses but in the retro I need to get this in my wedding right now sort of way. Having lived through the 90’s I certainly don’t remember them being so bright and appealing as the below.
Club Tropicana –
Tropical influences are everywhere and we just can’t get enough, be it neon flamingos to kitsch gold pineapple table centres, I love the bright colours and the fun filled vibrancy.
I don’t just mean the colours, (although what isn’t to love about these bold statements) I mean full on illuminated signage. The large light up letters have taken the wedding industry by storm and neon signs are a great move on. It’s time to grab the sunnies as it’s about to get very bright!
P.S if you don’t like pink head for the hills as it’s coming your way!
