Let’s do this-4 styled weddings, 1 dry hire all within a week! Totally got this!!!!Probably goes without saying I am going to be rubbish on emails for a few days!I feel I keep needing to stress that I would never usually book so many styled weddings in such close proximity. I like to not rush and feel torn in lots of directions. But Covid lockdowns are the gift that keeps on giving and I am so grateful that I have a bloody awesome team behind me this summer! So excited to work on some amazing weddings this weekend, all very different, all unique in their own way and all packed full of a couples personality.I am loving the sunset vibes and remixed flowers from this shoot I styled. Also loving burnt orange at the moment! Sunset perfection- I was struggling a little bit with what to post on socials this week. It’s a funny stage where the real weddings are starting to happen but my photos just don’t do the work justice so I’m holding out for the pros to hopefully send me pics. I’ve had a slower paced week with only 1 dry hire out but my brain is still super fogged with what’s coming up. The sun is shining-I’m breaking a cardinal Instagram rule and completely throwing the grid colour scheme to the dogs but I don’t care as this has to shared. This arch install sums up perfectly today’s double weddings. It almost didn’t happen, was a lot of hard work, was the perfect mix of team work to create and when it was finished it was just wow! Framing perfectly the entrance to the tipi field from the ceremony space I’m so glad all the sun dancing paid off, the horrific thunderstorms and weather warnings stayed away and we got to install it early this morning. Also I have to shout about the fact there is not one piece of single use plastic in this whole design, everything can be reused so it’s a win for eco friendliness! All you need is love-⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Such mixed emotions following today’s announcement. Relived that the arbitrary numbers have been relaxed, anxious as so many couples still aren’t going to get the day they have been dreaming of. My heart breaks for them and all the ups and downs they have faced but on the flip side I know today’s announcement is a huge relief for some. It just shows how personal and unique every wedding is.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀At this stage I have no idea what this means for my little biz over the next 5 weeks. Creating Editorials - ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Curating shoots is hard. The bringing to life of an idea, the taking a risk in sharing that idea with others. Opening yourself up for criticism and showing your vulnerability through putting yourself out there can be terrifying. Having the trust of others that you will showcase their products and services in the best light is a daunting honour and one to never be underestimated. Then seeing the results and believing all that worry and stress was all worth it. The sense of relief when you know you can do it. But on the flipside being your biggest critic. Constantly learning and allowing yourself to be educated by others.
