Throwing back to last year and the height of June, the sun should have been shining but instead it was cold and stormy. That didn’t stop us bring the modern Ibiza Vibes to this beautiful setup.

Table styling with modern Ibiza Vibes

I love working with Vanessa at Harding and Co, she is such a visionary in the looks she wants to create and I love that she trusts me to hon in on the smaller details to bring her initial visions to life.

Dried grasses and disco balls were definitely the feel of the day, we were inspired by a the modern minimalist decor of modern Ibiza, the warmth of the colours, the textures of dried grasses, the elegant luxury feel of villas that kiss the waters edge. But Ibiza is also a fun party island so disco balls added a party energetic edge.

Rebecca from Tythe Flowers created large hanging installations packed full of pampas and dried flowers, we hung rattan lampshades which danced above the tables. The bar featured a large dried cloud with hanging gold disco balls.

The tables were a mixture of long trestles and squares that have been making themselves more and more apparent in the styling trends. I loved the earthy toned glassware, the bling of the gold place mats and the elegant candle light. the 3 elements worked perfectly together and were perfectly in keeping with the modern Ibiza vibes we were trying to create. Textured table cloths added a feel in quality and weight, calligraphy place names and neat napkins were perfectly in keeping for a feel of refinement. Finally real flowers in smooth modernist bud vases added a depth of design and texture.

Colours for the tables were kept neutral and natural, Ester and Erik candles in taupe tones sat in glass candle sleeves. My favourite thing about the candle sleeves is not only how they protect the shape and quality of the candle preventing rapid dripping and collapse but they also bounce and throw the candle light, making it more intense and effective.

The table plan needed to be bold as there were a lot of guests to sit, easy to use but also still in keeping within the modern Ibiza vibe. A neutral painted board with subtle draping, with jute rugs, rattan lanterns and disco balls, linked in with dried flower arrangements greeted guests on the drinks terrace. With such a large number of guests there was always going to be a last ,minute change so we make sure to carry extra paint with us.

Guests danced the night away to a Dance DJ and were entertained by an aerial hoopist, providing a night to remember.
